California Maki Recipe

Ingredients:

30 grams mango or avocado, slices 
1 piece kanibo or crab stick
1 piece nori
140 grams sushi rice
80 gramsJapanese Kyuri (Japanese cucumber), sticks
20 grams Lolo Rosa green
40 grams tobiko (Japanese flying fish roe) or toasted sesame seeds Japanese mayonnaise
40 grams wasabi
25 ml Japanese soy sauce

Roll the mat slowly while lifting over

Instructions:
  1. Cut mango and cucumber into thin slices.
  2. Tear or divide crab sticks into two.
  3. Cut nori into half or much bigger.
  4. Place the nori on the sushi mat, shiny part side down.
  5. Moisten the hand with water, then spread sushi rice over nori. 
  6. Sprinkle tobiko or sesame seeds over sushi rice.
  7. Cover it with plastic wrap and turn upside down (its rice side down).
  8. Place the mango, cucumber, crabstick, lettuce leaves and spread mayonnaise around the​ ​middle.
  9. Begin rolling by lifting the mat over nori. Hold mat and plastic wrap together while rolling.
  10. Roll up tightly and press ends.
  11. Remove plastic wrap and cut into 6 or 8 pieces per roll using a sharp knife.

Yield: 1 whole piece California Maki
