The Podium Mall's first indoor market and food hall recently opened its door to the urban foodies. Foodamn Philippines got an invitation from them, let's take a look at the box of goodies below.
The Corner Market boast of a healthy option that support local vendors. What to see and try? Organic food from fruits, vegetables to raw materials needed for your home cooking recipes, artisan ingredients, gourmet dishes, unconventional product, fresh fish, meat and seafood, new brands to discover, and food to go.
The Corner Market PH sent a bunch of goodies for us to try, some of which are ingredients we can use for our #HomeCooked series (by the way the hashtag is viewable on Foodamn Philippines Instagram page).
What to eat?
Gusto. Adlai grains, they call it a super grain grown in Bukidnon, Philippines. A great alternative to rice (think of brown or red rice) this is the same thing, except it has less sugar and it reduces cholesterol that’s why it’s a healthy grain. This pack is rich in fiber, protein, calcium, and gluten-free.
How do we cook it?
Similar to cooking rice put together 1 cup of Adlai with 2 cups of water. Place in a rice cooker for 30 minutes or until the water is absorbed.
Bird House. A fried chicken hub, this pack is the Spicy Chicken Skin. Although I’m allergic to chicken skin, let’s see how good they are.
Stockwell. This pack is a coffee blend, it doesn’t mention what coffee blend.
Meat and Match by Meat Depot. This transparent small pack is a Signature Steak Rub made with salt, pepper, sage, flour, water and A1 sauce. Oh, we actually have stocks of bottled A1 Original sauce for our BBQ marinade. Will surely visit this promising store.
Ca Phe Saigon. Farm-to-Fork Freshness, it sounds like a Vietnamese store. But this one is a mini-journal.
Inari. Furikake is a Japanese rice seasoning, I remember we sprinkle flavored furikake on a warm rice and eat it as is. No need for “ulam!”
Pizza Morena. Hot and wild honey pizza match, maybe it’s a spicy one. Made with wild honey, vinegar and chilies. The label says, it can be a perfect partner for your pizza, meats, salads, fruits, cheeses and even ice cream!
The Rabbit Hole. The pack looks like a pesto toasted bread.
Cold Storage. I haven’t googled them yet, but my idea could be same as yours. The canvass apron print “Catch of the Day.” Definitely not a boyfriend/girlfriend thing.
Sundays. Is actually an ice cream parlor (again I’m guessing)? Let’s grab our sundaes this coming Sundays!
The Corner Market at The Podium is located at the 2nd floor.
