FOODAMN PHILIPPINES : WHO WE ARE

Wanjai Thai Cuisine @ Angeles City

Thai food in Manila cost much per dish compare to Wanjai here in Angeles, just the right cost with a great tasting meal. The resto is situated around the owner's private residence, they transformed the front area to a native Thai interior paralled to the garden and their kitchen. They uses freshly picked herbs from the resto backyard garden. You can request fresh basil leaves for your condiments, we asked for some basil to compliment with the chicken curry. Forgive my memory, i forgot the Thai names of the food we ordered.

Tom-Yam, Chicken Sate, Binagoongan Fried Rice w/ Green Mango & Noodles
Wanjai is recommended by some of the locals and food lovers based here in Angeles. It's a Thai noodles with toge, Thai stew (made of mushroom bits, shrimp, tamarind, ginger and various herbs), chicken sate (flatten grilled white chicken meat in a stick with peanut sauce and special vinegar/cucumber sauce) and the binagoongan rice with green mango strips. Also their lemonade juice, pure with lemon slice and peppermint leaves.

Try it and its like a "lutong bahay" from Thailand. =) plus it's great in the pocket too. They open at 4pm onwards. Wanjai have a homey interior and the owner of the place is a Thailand local, thus the interior and decorations are Thailand-inspired. Food taste definitely authentic Thai food.

For the mentioned meal below bring at least Php 1,000 [$23], good for 2 to 3 heads.
