My Thai Kitchen

Thai cuisine is always a hit for us. An alternative for the taste buds from the usual dishes we order from other establishment. Thai food incorporates herbs and spices.  Thai cuisine places emphasis on lightly prepared dishes with strong aromatic components. Thai cuisine is known for being spicy. Balance, detail and variety are important to Thai cooking. Thai food is known for its balance of the five fundamental taste senses in each dish or the overall meal: hot (spicy), sour, sweet, salty, and (optional) bitter.

Try other Thai resto's in town for a new foodie experience. =) I lost my notes for the dishes we ordered (I did jot down all its Thai names and prices). To to top it all there's one Thai resto along Dapitan St. [back of UST] where food even taste better and if you happen to have roadtrips in Clark Pampanga, pay a visit to Wanjai Thai Cuisine to compare authentic Thai foods.

The Kritikus:
I'm not a milk tea person, I order it for my daughter and I ended up drinking it anyway, just a sip though. It's a healthy drink to help down digestion. I like better the Tamarind Iced tea, made of natural brewed tamarind. The strong tamarind taste last but its manageable, some people may not like it, they say to each its own.

The greens, made up of pomelo, shrimp, nuts, some chicken bits and salad lettuce. I didn't eat much of the shrimps due to food allergy I have to some seafoods. But the green plates is quiet good appetizer teamed-up with their house dip.

Main dish consists of Tom-Yam, Binagoongan Rice, Chicken Curry & Chicken Sate.
Tom-yam is a famous Thai stew- tangy, hot and herb-y. Dish turn-over! =)
Binagoongan Rice, although Filipinos make an excellent version of Binagoongan rice, again this differs in terms of herbs and spices they used.

Chicken curry reminds us of the Filipino version of Kare-kare because of the color, eggplant and string beans. Curry stew has tomatoes which made it sour, reminds us of "Sinigang" and other herbs, while the chicken bits are of just the right proportion.

Chicken Sate is a mild grilled chicken fillet on a stick. Matched it with a peanut & herb dip plus the cucumber side salad for a balancing taste.
The place is not crowded and noisy, love the lights and interior. Staff are accommodating and service is fast. For the mention meal above bring at least Php 1,500 [$35], good for 2 to 3 heads.
