October 8, 2022. Manila, Philippines. Balai Palmera's buko pie is more on the creamy side. Buko strips' texture was perfectly fine with the more cream ratio. Can be compared to a "bavarian" sauce. Don't expect a heavy load of buko meats inside the pie. Overall, the pie is promising and really smooth in the taste bud and moderately sweetened. For us, it goes well with black brewed coffee.
