This is not a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.
October 7, 2023. San Marcelino, Manila, Philippines - After much anticipation, the Dragon Court at Manila Prince Hotel has officially reopened its doors last week of September 2023. The grand reopening was celebrated with a blend of Chinese traditions that meets contemporary elegance, creating the perfect setting for a truly unforgettable Chinese dining experience.
Mid-Autumn set menu. On this special day, we were treated with the savory Mid-Autumn set menu - a display of traditional Chinese course:

Hakaw and siomai and hot and sour soup |
For starters, we were served with dim sum, soup and shrimp balls.
Main course includes: pork spareribs, beef broccoli, fish fillet and chicken lemon. In the Chinese setting, rice is commonly served as one of the last dishes, eaten to fill the empty corners of your stomach. For dessert, we had chilled almond bean curd with fresh fruits.
Chinese Dice Game. The festive occasion proceeded with the Mid-Autumn Festival Dice Game, a historical game originated from Xiamen that dates back in the Qing dynasty in the 1600s. Invented by army general Zheng Chenggong, he designed the game to alleviate homesickness of his troops during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Chinese game is widely known as "zhuang yuan bo bing", a mash-up of the Mandarin words "scholar", "gambling" and "cake". According to Tan Boon Chai, third-generation owner of Tan Hock Seng confectionery, "This game is about luck and strategy, like a Chinese monopoly, a mere plain gambling with mooncakes."
