This is not a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.

The group meets at at 9 AM along Sta. Cruz Plaza and took off on our breakfast stop at Kiampong Foodhaus, followed by a walk going to Ambos Mundos. By lunchtime, we spent it at Delicious Restaurant. We then proceed to the Divisoria area for a visit at the temple, and a refreshment stop at Ant Ice. Followed by another walk to Monte Land, then proceed to our final stop at Salazar Bakery in Ongpin.

The name Ambos Mundos literally means 'both worlds' of Filipino and Spanish cuisine.

Many people consider Ambos Mundos to be the oldest restaurant in the Philippines, having opened its doors in 1888. Translating to "both worlds," its name reflects its signature fusion of Chinese, Filipino, and Spanish cuisines.

The restaurant was relocated to its present location at 750 Florentino Torres Street, Santa Cruz, Manila, from its original location on Echague, now Palanca Street. It frequently uses its original narra furnishings to preserve the "Old World" ambiance.

What to try at Ambos Mundos

Paella Ambos - A classic Spanish rice dish that remains their most famous offering.
Asado Roll -  A beloved snack often paired with afternoon coffee.

Morisqueta Tostada

Morisqueta Tostada - Their traditional version of Yang Chow fried rice.

Torta de Cangrejo - A highly-praised crab omelet.

Pancit canton has extra sauce that is almost the same sauce with Torta de Congrejo.

Spanish vibe of Ambos Mundos

Spanish-inspired elements are still present in the dining area, ranging from framed posters on the wall to Capiz windows, figures and ornaments. However, the place really needed a makeover, in my opinion. It needs a major repair in the dining area and as well as the framework of the restaurant.

Here’s our group, all first timers at Ambos Mundos.

Manila Chinatown Culinary and Heritage Tour

Our Ambos Mundos food crawl is our second stop, prior to dining here, we had breakfast at Kiampong Foodhaus.

Ambos Mundos trademark. There is an ongoing concern between the two families on the claim of the ownership. It was discussed from on the tour with a few details about it. However, we will not disclose further, and let us leave this matter to the concerned parties.
